Make a Comedy Movie in October
14-16 October 2019, 9am-3pm each day.
‘Silly Skeletons’ is a half term camp for TASIS students only for Kindergarten – Grade 1.
The workshop includes lots of movie making, drama, animation, making and imaginative play. It’s a fun-filled multimedia workshop designed to help boost imagination, creativity and confidence.
Over three days, the children take part in different creative activities. In arts and crafts sessions, they produce props and costumes to use within their movie. They work on storytelling elements and also on drama and performance. Throughout, they are also working on camera skills as they capture all their creative moments on video.
In this project, the children will explore slapstick comedy and skeletons (along the lines of Funny Bones) as inspiration. They will create their own fun skeleton adventure animations and they will make glow-in-the-dark skeleton costumes to wear too.
The end result will be a fun slapstick comedy movie featuring all their work and creations, guided by our team of filmmaking workshop leaders.
At the end, they share their work to parents in a special presentation. Everyone receives a copy of the movie to enjoy at home, as well as share with family and friends.
