This October, as we celebrate Black History Month, we’ll share details of some events happening around London to take part in.
We’re starting off with ‘Black Art Matters‘, an event organised by Black Minds Matter x Sophie Tea Gallery.
Black Minds Matter is a charity that raises awareness and creates discussions around mental health as well as providing free mental health care and support within Black communities. They have partnered up with Sophie Tea Gallery to bring to the public an incredible array of art pieces dedicated to appreciating and honouring creativity.
Black Art Matters is a curated exhibition of work by Black artists, highlighting the importance of mental health and the need for accessible support. The event showcases work that explores relationships with mental health, as well as spotlighting talent and the opportunity to share work with an audience.
The event is taking place on the 25th October 2020 at Sophie Tea Gallery, 5-7 Foubert’s Place, Soho, London, W1F 7PY.
You’re advised to book in advance due to Covid-19 restrictions and limited places. Prices start from £3.83 and all ticket sales go directly to support the charity.
